What you should do !!

What you should do !!

Recently I went to a trip to a place in India( no picking places here , my post is general). I just picked up the tourism department pamphlet. There was list of items to visit , eatery , restaurants, this that…and for women what you should do to avoid eveteasing /unwanted attention (read it : rape /molestation[R/M])etc etc..

Similar eh…somewhat !! eh !! Normal eh !!

Reminds of Electronic media having debates on why R/M happen …

People coming with umpteen advices , on what to wear , what to do , different religious leaders coming and giving their opinion,

Some gali ka loafer(street loafer) … saying ofcourse these girls invite eveteasing/rape( they somewhere hint that given an opportunity , they can also rape/tease/Molest)

Some Grandma with least respect for women , saying “aise hum to nahi pehnte the kapde , hamare saath to nahi hua , zaroor usine kuch aisi harkat se bulaya ho ga…”(translation: we never faced such things ,as we never wore such dresses) . This Grandma never says , I have given such good values to my family , that no one in my family will do this .And I am that Grandma’s village had such cases happened and hidden and never reported..And it never happened to her so everyone else is bad.Can someone listen to the victim ?

And the great fear for victims from the stupid movies , the ideas they give to the perpetrators OMG.They show that after a rape the victim is ostracized by society and how she ends her life…what the **%$%^%@_+^$@!&@**#%$.. No one shows that she goes thru a support in family and she is back to normalcy and proper counseling is given…mainly the perpetrator is ostracized …NAA, we like seeing the Great Indian Tragedies On Women…Aurat to tyaag ki devi hai…Indians Devi bol bol ke balatkaar karte hain usi devi ka..

By simply put that do’s and don’ts for women , Government acknowledges and formalizes and gives validity to the crime/action somehow.

So the most important part , Instead of all the do’s and don’ts for victims why are there no do’s and dont’s for perpetrators…???
In all the laws and rules they say …Do not jump redlight else you will be fined, Do not litter , Do not give wrong tax details …etc etc..
But ofcourse R/M are special cases , related to women..They will be do’s donts for women victims , as in India women have the responsibility to maintain the social holiness by giving away her basic freedom and rights…. Really , I wish to create a social do’s and don’ts for perpetrators and post them in the cities hoardings .Some simple do and donts will never come out from even a parent’s mouth for their son..Like

– DO NOT OGLE AT WOMEN
– DO NOT EVEN THINK OF MOLESTING OR RAPING OR EVETEASING
– DO RESPECT WOMEN IN AND OUT OF YOUR HOUSE
– DO NOT TAKE AWAY HER RIGHTS AND FREEDOM
– DO NOT SPOIL HER LIFE
– DO HELP HER
– DO NOT BEAT HER…

Actually, The mentality and message is simple from many lowly men and people with upperhand,You sway away from the norms(ofcourse baseless ones) it means you faulter , we pounce on you in different ways…Now it is yours wish women what you want.. This message is clear in homes, office, streets , social functions , colleges everywhere !!, The Pounce has different variations once the “expected / invisible “rules broken by women , Like in office if you are smart and good at job and need not much support , many lowly males folks will keep her out from work related discussions, how many see this ??? Message is : You cant be my boss in future , I will not let that happen..If already a boss: I do not accept you as my boss.

“This country needs a serious discussion on women “. This is what a Non-Indian Rape victim said ..Shame on us…Oh I Forgot..We are still not mature to talk that…

And Come on , just stop victimizing the victims..Cant we simply stop that …

Koi ,thoda kuch thand lao yaar mere liye , dimaag ka dahi banne se rokna hai…[ Some one please get some cold drink for me , my mind is becoming curd due to the heat ]

Well dont worry I have many funny/normal posts here , but it seems readers are more focused on the thought provoking posts, It is a good and positive sign of change …….
